Nearly one year after suffering a devastating leg injury in the 2018 Mae Young Classic,

Tegan Nox returned to the ring

at an NXT event Thursday night in Orlando.

Nox partnered with Jessi Kamea, defeating Vanessa Borne and Aliyah. The finish saw Nox pinning Borne after a fireman carry into an Ace Crusher.

The match was Nox's first since August 9 of last year, when she wrestled Rhea Ripley in the Mae Young Classic's quarterfinals. Nox was scheduled to win the match, but due to her in-match injury, the match was halted after three minutes, and Ripley advanced via referee's decision.

In October, Nox updated fans to the extent of her injuries by

writing on Twitter

, "dislocated knee cap (luckily it reset itself instantly), torn MCL & LCL, I completely tore my ACL and both meniscus (one had a 'lightening bolt shape tear' still a wizard when injured), bone contusions and I had a Segond Fracture on my left tibia....Basically my knee exploded and I made a huge mess!!"

Previously, a torn ACL kept Nox out of the 2017 Mae Young Classic, sidelining her from April 2017 to April 2018.
