Third-generation wrestling star Teddy Hart was arrested in Richmond, VA, and arraigned on Friday morning on charges of strangulation resulting in wounding/bodily harm. A report from Fightful claims that Ring of Honor performer Maria Manic is the alleged victim.
Hart is being held without bail at Richmond City Jail. A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22.
According to Fightful's report, Hart was involved in an altercation on Thursday afternoon with independent wrestler Ace Montana, who posted a video to social media of himself running Hart off after a long argument. Hart was reportedly arrested shortly after the video's recording.
"I literally had to pull my gun on #Teddyhart and throw him out of my friends house," Montana wrote in a Facebook post. "This piece of s**t literally choked out and physically assaulted Maria Manic and would not let her get help. she texted me I’m in danger never ever did I think I would meet a piece of s**t like this guy who has now been arrested with a felony against him. I don’t think this guy knew how close to death he was."
The 40-year-old member of the Hart wrestling family was arrested on February 12 in Richmond on charges of possession, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell and distribute. He was later arrested on March 4 for violation of house arrest.
