On a packed edition of NXT 2.0 before Sunday’s Worlds Collide PPV, several new matches were made for the ‘premium live event’, including an NXT Tag Team Title Unification elimination four way match.

NXT Tag Team Champions The Creed Brothers, NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, Gallus, and Pretty Deadly will battle to determine who will reign as the undisputed unified NXT Tag Team Champions.

The four teams ended up having a locker room clearing brawl on the August 30 edition of NXT 2.0, with the elimination title match made official afterwards.

Of the four teams, only Pretty Deadly have reigned as both NXT and NXT UK Tag Champions, with the team of Elton Prince and Kit Wilson, being the second team in NXT history to hold that honour - Moustache Mountain having been the first.

The NXT UK Tag Team Titles were created in 2019, with the Grizzled young veterans reigning as the inaugural champions. Since then, seven teams have held the gold, with Gallus having the longest reign at nearly 500 days.
