A stipulation has been added to the SmackDown Women's title match pitting champion Liv Morgan against challenger Ronda Rousey at Extreme Rules in three weeks time.

During a sitdown interview on Friday's edition of WWE SmackDown, Morgan formally challenged Rousey to (appropriately) an Extreme Rules match for the pay-per-view. Rousey accepted the challenge.

Rousey lost the SmackDown Women's title to Morgan on July 2 at Money in the Bank in Las Vegas, after Morgan cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase that she had won earlier in the night. Morgan went on to retain the championship in a brief match against Rousey at SummerSlam four weeks later in Nashville.

Rousey earned this title shot at Morgan by winning a fatal five way match on last Friday night's SmackDown, defeating Lacey Evans, Xia Li, Natalya, and Sonya Deville. Rousey last eliminated Deville via submission to win the match.

WWE Extreme Rules takes place on Saturday night, October 8, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. No other matches have been announced as of yet for the event.
