Sting To Retire At AEW Revolution 2024

Sting has announced when he will retire from professional wrestling.

On last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, The Icon told fans that his last match will be at next year's Revolution pay-per-view. The 64-year-old noted that his first AEW match took place at Revolution 2021 and added that the only thing for sure about Sting is that his retirement is for sure.

While the official date for Revolution 2024 has not yet been made public, it is likely to take place in late February or early March (as the past four incarnations have).

Sting made his professional debut in 1985 and worked for various territories before landing in the NWA/WCW. Following the sale of WCW to WWE, Sting opted not to jump to Vince McMahon's company, but rather work for TNA instead.

Once his TNA run had ended, Sting finally showed up in WWE, though his tenure there was cut short by what was thought to be a career-ending neck injury (suffered against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions 2015).

However, he was able to come back and has wrestled over 20 matches since signing with Tony Khan's promotion.

The WWE Hall of Famer has won a plethora of championships and other accolades across his almost forty-year career and is considered one of the best babyfaces in the history of the business.
