SPOILER On Top Star Scheduled For WWE SmackDown

WWE will head to Glendale, Arizona for the March 1 edition of Friday Night SmackDown and one of Monday Night Raw's top stars will be making a surprise appearance on the show.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE's current plan will call for Cody Rhodes to be in Glendale for Friday's taping of SmackDown. What Rhodes will be doing on the show has not been revealed but The Rock is scheduled to be at SmackDown in person and he will likely answer Cody's challenge for a singles match.

Rhodes issued the challenge during the Grayson Waller Effect at Elimination Chamber, noting he was free as a bird between now and his Undisputed WWE Universal Title match against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40. Seth Rollins noted he would be at Cody's side for his battles against The Bloodline and a tag team match of The Rock and Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins was at one point the plan for night one of WrestleMania. Those plans may well have changed, though, based on Cody's challenge.
