What was initially shaping up to be a very boring Men's Royal Rumble received an injection of excitement down the stretch with the returns of Shane McMahon and Bad Bunny.

The match after 26 entrants had featured very few surprises, with the likes of Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss having been heavily featured during the contest, but the crowd perked up once Bad Bunny made an appearance at #27.

The award-winning artist even picked up a couple of eliminations, throwing Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler over the top rope.

The surprises then kept coming as Shane McMahon entered the rumble at #28, appearing in a WWE ring for the first time since a Steel Cage Match with Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 37. The Boy Wonder also picked up an elimination, getting one over old foe Kevin Owens.

Neither Bad Bunny nor Shane McMahon were able to win the Rumble, though, and they were eliminated by Brock Lesnar, who entered at #30.

Before McMahon and Bad Bunny's appearances, Drew McIntyre returned from a neck injury that had kept him on the shelf since Day 1 and he entered the Rumble at #21. Irn Dru quickly exacted revenge on Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss, who attacked him at Day 1, and McIntyre was one of the final two participants before he was eliminated by the winner Brock Lesnar.

The Women's Royal Rumble also featured plenty of surprises. Find out who returned here.
