Shane McMahon & Mercedes Moné Discuss AEW After Chance Meeting At Airport

Shane McMahon and All Elite Wrestling can't seem to avoid each other at the moment.

According to PWInsider, Mercedes Moné and Shane McMahon had a chance meeting at New York City's Laguardia Airport and they ended up speaking to each other as they were on their way to their respective flights. During their time together, Moné and McMahon did discuss All Elite Wrestling, although the exact nature of what they discussed about the promotion is unknown.

McMahon, who lives in the New York City area, was not seen backstage at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view on Sunday night. The show emanated from the UBS Arena in Long Island.

Rumours in recent weeks have revealed that Shane McMahon has spoken to people in AEW about a possible appearance in the promotion. AEW CEO Tony Khan has since said Shane is "always welcome" in All Elite Wrestling.

McMahon has long been associated with WWE, although he is reportedly no longer signed to any kind of contract with the company that was previously owned by his father, Vince McMahon. McMahon hasn't appeared on any pro wrestling programming since 2023's WrestleMania 39.
