All Elite Wrestling president Tony Khan has revealed that the September 29 episode of AEW Dynamite will be a special show dedicated to the memory and legacy of Brodie Lee.
This week's AEW Dynamite will be the first time that AEW have presented a show from Rochester, New York - Brodie Lee's home and the city in which he had initially been scheduled to make his AEW debut back in March 2020.
Jon Huber (Brodie Lee) tragically passed away on December 26 2020 and, with AEW finally emanating from his home city, AEW boss Khan says the show will be dedicated to the former TNT Champion.
Writing on social media, Khan said: "It’s Wednesday. You know what that means. Tonight #AEWDynamite is Live from Rochester, home of Mr. Brodie Lee. Tonight we’ll have a great show dedicated to his memory with a special card including a huge TNT Championship match, a title forever synonymous with his indelible legacy."
The show will be headlined by a TNT Championship match between reigning champion Miro and challenger Sammy Guevara.
Also confirmed for the show is Adam Cole vs. Jungle Boy and Cody Rhodes & Lee Johnson vs. Dante Martin & Matt Sydal.
