Moose's persistence in carrying around the TNA World Heavyweight Championship has paid off, as IMPACT executive Scott D'Amore legitimised the title once again.

The former primary title in IMPACT Wrestling was declared defunct in 2017 as the company transitioned into IMPACT Wrestling, with a new championship lineage started with the IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship. Bobby Lashley was the last man to officially be TNA World Heavyweight champion.

Moose has kept the belt close since April 2020, declaring it to be the real World title in the promotion and himself to be the true champion in IMPACT Wrestling, and his wish to be recognised came true on the latest episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

After Moose attacked Jake Something and demanded a shot at Rich Swann's IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship, Executive Scott D'Amore came out into the arena. With Jake Something wanting revenge, D'Amore shockingly restored the TNA World Heavyweight title and made a match between the two to close the show.

The angle would lead to a match between Moose and Swann being made for IMPACT Sacrifice for Swann's IMPACT World Heavyweight title on Sunday 13 March.
