Samoa Joe's 'Twisted Metal' Renewed For Second Season

Samoa Joe will be returning to his ice cream truck with the announcement that Twisted Metal will be returning for a second season.

The TV adaptation of the classic video game series premiered in 2022, with Joe playing franchise icon Sweet Tooth, a demented killer clown in an ice cream truck.

Series two was formally announced by star and series lead Anthony Mackie during the 2023 Game Awards, with broadcaster Peacock issuing the following press release:

“Peacock's high-octane action-comedy TWISTED METAL has been renewed for a second season. The series comes from Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.

“TWISTED METAL premiered on July 27 getting off to a fast start, establishing itself as our most-binged original in its first week and currently ranks among Peacock's top three originals of all time as it continues to attract new viewers every week.
