Sami Zayn 'Needs' One More Match With Kota Ibushi
Sami Zayn wants to face Kota Ibushi again

Since Kota Ibushi became a free agent in January following the expiration of his New Japan deal, fans worldwide have been wondering what’ll be next for the inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
It’s not just fans who are keeping a close eye on Ibushi, though, as WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champion Sami Zayn is also waiting to see what’s next for the Golden Star, saying the following on Twitter:
“This man is a lunatic and a gift to pro wrestling, and I need to wrestle him once more before my career is done” tweeted Zayn in response to a video clip of Ibushi shooting himself with fireworks.
Ibushi memorably clashed several times with Zayn’s close friend El Generico, with a four-way match between Ibushi, Generico, Jigsaw, and Nick Jackson at the CHIKARA King of Trios 2009 event earning rave reviews and heralded as a classic from the 2000s golden era of indie wrestling.
Generico and Ibushi would go on to have several matches in DDT Pro, with the last bout between the two in 2012 seeing then KO-D Openweight Champion Generico defeating Ibushi.
