Ronda Rousey has declared that WWE fans are to blame for Bray Wyatt's release from the company, saying 'ungrateful idiots' were responsible for treating the superstar like he was expendable long before the company did.

Wyatt was let go by WWE over the weekend after over a decade with the promotion, having not been seen on television since early April. The former WWE Champion is widely considered one of the most creative minds in the industry and his release by WWE left fans upset with the decision.

However, former Raw Women's Champion Rousey has taken to social media to blast those fans, saying they are the same WWE supporters who didn't engage with Wyatt's segments during her time in the company.

The WrestleMania 35 main-eventer described these fans as 'ungrateful idiots'.

Writing on Twitter, Rousey said: "I’ve seen you same 'fans' chanting #WeWantWyatt last night chanting “We want beach balls” over @WWEBrayWyatt performing. If the @wwe treated him like he was expendable it was because you ungrateful idiots did first."

Rousey had her own issues with WWE fans during her year with the company, as the live audience gradually turned on her mid-way through her run with the promotion. Rousey was often met with loud boos towards the end of her time with WWE, forcing the company to turn her heel heading into WrestleMania 35.
