Former IMPACT Wrestling X Division Champion Rohit Raju has revealed that he is officially a free agent, seemingly ending his four year stint with the company.
Raju broke the news on Twitter, saying:
“As of today I am a free agent. Where would you like to see me next?”
After debuting for IMPACT in mid 2017 using his Hakim Zane ring-name, Zane made sporadic appearances before changing his name to Raju, and teaming with Gursinder Singh as The Desi Hit Squad.
Rohit Raju’s greatest success in IMPACT came in the X Division, where he reigned as a one time X Division Champion, beating Chris Bey for the strap at Emergence 2020 and holding the title for over 120 days, before dropping it to TJP at Final Resolution 2020.
Raju’s last match for IMPACT came at the recent IMPACT Wrestling Throwback Throwdown II - IPWF Winter War ’84 special, where Raju - under the name Quincy Cosmos - lost to Giuseppe Scovelli, aka; Josh Matthews.
A nine-year veteran of the industry, Raju still teams with Desi Hit Squad team-mate Raj Singh on the independent scene, with the two currently holding the BCW Can-Am Tag Team Championship.
