As Ring of Honor readies itself for their last pay-per-view of the year (and the foreseeable future) with Final Battle on December 11, the card is already starting to fall into place, as a ROH World Title Match has been rubber stamped for the show.

At last night’s ROH Honor For All 2021 show, former ROH PURE Champion Jonathan Gresham defeated Brody King to become the number one contender for the ROH World Championship, at will be facing Champion Bandido at Final Battle.

This will be Gresham’s first shot at the gold since losing to then ROH World Champion Jay Lethal in an Ironman match in July 2018.

Gresham has emerged as ROH’s stand-out performer over the last few years, bringing the PURE Championship out of retirement in October 2020 and holding it for over 300 days, until dropping it to Josh Woods.

Bandido has also been one of ROH’s stand-out performers, with the 26 year-old currently in the midst of his first run with the ROH World Championship, having defeated RUSH for the gold at Best in the World back in July 2021.

Regardless of the outcome, you can bet that this will be one hell of a match.
