After an absence of over nine months, Ridge Holland made his return to WWE NXT last night, aligning with Pete Dunne and Oney Lorcan.

Holland made his return when Dunne and Lorcan were in tag action against Tommasso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher, with Holland laying out Thatcher on the outside, and putting a full stop on affairs with a headbutt on Ciampa.

Holland was last in action on NXT in October 2020, defeating Danny Burch in singles action. During the match Holland caught an interfering Oney Lorcan off of a dive, but his legs gave away underneath him in a freak accident.

It turned out that Ridge suffered a left ankle dislocation and fracture and a right knee patellar dislocation and patellar tendon rupture during the catch, and underwent surgery shortly after.

It seemed that Holland was being groomed for a high profile run before his injury, as just days before he laid out Adam Cole after the main event of NXT TakeOver 31.
