Rey Mysterio Thinks Cain Velasquez Will Return To WWE
"He's on the sidelines but he's not forgotten"...

Cain Velasquez was released by WWE back in April as part of company-wide cutbacks along with 36 other Superstars and numerous employees at Titan Towers.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion might not be finished with WWE, though. Rey Mysterio recently told ESPN's Ariel Helwani that he doesn't think Velasquez is "gone for good" and believes he will return to WWE down the line.
"I can't dig into the exact situation with Cain," Mysterio said. "I do know for a fact he's very dedicated. He's very passionate about Lucha libre and about wrestling. I know this was one of his biggest dreams to be part of WWE. I honestly don't think that he's gone for good. I think he's gonna make an appearance and a comeback."
The Master Of The 619 added: "I think right now, Cain, he's on the sidelines but he's not forgotten. I would really love and I think that him coming back would be huge."
Velasquez's first run in WWE only lasted seven months after he debuted on the October 4, 2019, edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Cardio Cain attacked his former UFC rival Brock Lesnar but their feud quickly ended at Crown Jewel when Velasquez tapped out after 123 seconds. He only wrestled one more time after the world title match and was ultimately released by WWE in April.
