There is currently backstage turmoil within All Elite Wrestling following reports that decisions are being made far later than usual and talent aren't finding out what they will be doing on shows until much later too. This has extended into long-term booking, with talent unaware what the direction for their characters are.

Why AEW have decided to restrict information from talent has been revealed, though, with AEW producer Jerry Lynn claiming on X (FKA Twitter) the promotion are trying to prevent plans from leaking.

"Because wrestlers and God knows who else have and continue to leak info to the sheets, podcasts, etc. So Tony tries to keep things confidential. You wouldn't want to know everything before you see a movie. Anyone who leaks info is doing damage to the product and the industry," Lynn tweeted.

AEW will have to alter some of their upcoming plans as Bryan Danielson is dealing with an orbital bone injury that will likely rule him out for the rest of the year.
