The 2023 Night Of Champions premium live event has been and gone, with WWE seemingly quite pleased with how the night went down. The show was filled with big matches, major angles and new champions being crowned, with a lot to talk about up and down the card. Regarding the three women’s matches on the card, a report from PWInsider states that WWE is very happy.

“There were quite a few people in the company very happy about the fact they presented three women's matches today,  feeling it was a sign of how far things have come since their deal with the Kingdom has started.”

This is the second time after Elimination Chamber 2022 in which three women’s matches have been featured on a Saudi Arabia card. On this year’s show, Trish Stratus defeated Becky Lynch with the help of Zoey Stark, Asuka was crowned the new Raw Women’s Champion after beating Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley squashed Natalya in about a minute.

At Crown Jewel 2019, Natalya and Lacey Evans became the first two women to ever wrestle a match for WWE in Saudi Arabia, making history. WWE have followed this up with featuring at least one women’s match on every show, with bouts such as Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks, Naomi & Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair & Sonya Deville, an Elimination Chamber match, Becky Lynch vs. Lita and even more.
