Report: WWE Taking Coronavirus Related Precautions At Upcoming Tapings

The coronavirus pandemic has caused enormous disruption to WWE and its programming. WrestleMania 36 aired over two nights on April 4 and April 5 from an empty WWE Performance Center, a boneyard, and the Firefly Funhouse.

The company had all of its content taped through to the Raw after Mania, and WWE plans to air this week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown live from the Performance Center and then tape the next three weeks of content in the following days. The April 13 edition of Monday Night Raw is also set to be broadcast live.

WWE has already put some coronavirus related measures in place, whereby all talent scheduled to work the tapings have their temperatures taken before they enter the building and if anyone says they are feeling ill, they are automatically sent home.

With a stay-at-home order in effect in Florida, the company is putting additional precautions in place ahead of Friday's tapings. PWInsider reported the ropes, turnbuckles, aprons, and canvas will be changed after every match to reduce the risk of infection and the Performance Center will be constantly sanitised while the tapings are going on.
