Report: WWE Hall Of Famer Set For Survivor Series Return
Another Legend Will Be On Hand To Honour The Deadman...
Nov 18, 2020
According to a report from PWInsider.com, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is set to return to WWE at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Angle had been working as a backstage producer before being released back in April, due to budget cuts as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The Olympic gold medalist has since been offered other roles in the organisation, such as the manager for (Matt) Riddle, but turned them down in favour of pursuing other endeavours.
He did return to referee the cage match between Riddle and Timothy Thatcher on the May 27 episode of NXT.
According to the report, Angle will be on hand to honour The Undertaker, who is having his purported 'Final Farewell' at the event.
Others confirmed to be in attendance for the Final Farewell include former WWE stars Kane, The Godfather and Savio Vega, with others like The Godwinns and Rikishi heavily rumoured.
Interestingly, PWInsider.com also noted that Impact Wrestling recently reached out to Angle and made a strong pitch for him to return to the company at October's Bound for Glory pay-per-view.
Ultimately, however, talks stalled and it did not end up happening.
WWE Survivor Series takes place on Sunday, November 22.
