Report: WWE Considering Calling Up LA Knight In Upcoming Draft
Will Knight be on Raw or SmackDown?
Oct 1, 2021
LA Knight's time in NXT 2.0 could be coming to an end.
The former Eli Drake has been a member of the NXT roster since February 2021 and he has been one of the brand's featured performers, having spent much of the year feuding with Cameron Grimes over the Million Dollar Championship.
Knight has since begun a rivalry with Odyssey Jones since NXT was rebranded as NXT 2.0 in September, but he may not complete that rivalry.
WWE's 2021 draft is set to begin on tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown and then continue on the October 4 edition of Monday Night Raw. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, LA Knight is under consideration for a main roster call-up during the draft.
"Don't be shocked if you see people from the main roster go down to NXT every now and then like a Mandy Rose. Someone like that. But it's interesting because Hit Row is a name that people are throwing out there. LA Knight is a name that people are throwing out there," Zarian said.
As Zarian noted, WWE are also considering moving NXT 2.0 faction Hit Row to the main roster, the group composed of Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, Top Dolla, Ashante "Thee" Adonis and B-Fab.
