WWE are bringing in an outside name for the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

According to Fightful Select, Jason Cade is expected to work Royal Rumble as a backstage producer, specifically helping put together the Women's Royal Rumble Match. TJ Wilson (AKA Tyson Kidd) was instrumental in bringing Cade in and the independent wrestler has trained alongside Wilson and Natalya in the past.

If Cade will be signing with WWE full-time or if he is just being brought in for the Rumble is unknown. The show is set to emanate from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, January 28.

The 31-year-old has been wrestling since 2013 but he hasn't had a match since being used as an enhancement talent on an August 2021 episode of NXT where he and Chuckie Viola lost to The Creed Brothers. Cade has also worked on Raw and 205 Live, as well as for the likes of All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honor, IMPACT, MLW, EVOLVE, and GCW.

Several matches have already been announced for the Royal Rumble. Outside of the two Rumble matches, Roman Reigns will defend the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens, while LA Knight and Bray Wyatt will clash in a Pitch Black Match. Alexa Bliss will also challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women's Title.
