WWE NXT will have a new home from October 2024 following the announcement the Tuesday night show will move to The CW as part of a five-year deal. The deal will be a substantial increase on NXT's currently $15 million-per-year deal with USA, with TKO Group CEO Ari Emanuel noting the new deal will see a "70 percent growth in average annual value."

NXT's ratings have grown throughout 2023 and the belief within WWE is that NXT will regularly draw a higher viewership than AEW Dynamite from 2024, according to Haus of Wrestling. The company is confident NXT will "consistently outdraw" AEW Dynamite, especially when the move to The CW comes into effect, due to the belief that The CW is a "younger broadcast TV channel" instead of an "ageing cable channel" which will help attract a younger audience.

WWE also believe the current TV product and the renewed emphasis on pushing NXT as the third WWE brand, as opposed to developmental, will only help matters.

The belief within WWE is also that AEW's TV product is cold, with the company pointing to AEW struggling to move tickets for TV tapings.
