Tickets for WrestleMania 37 go on sale this Tuesday, March 16, for what will be WWE's first occasion having fans in over one year.

The question is, of course, how many people would be on hand for the event.

Raymond James Stadium in Tampa is capable of holding close to 66,000 fans in the stands. Super Bowl 55 was held in the same venue, but attendance was capped at just under 25,000, owed to safety protocols amid the still-ongoing pandemic.

Dave Meltzer reported in last week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE was looking to put 45,000 fans in Raymond James Stadium for each night of the event.

Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360 is backing that claim, tweeting, "I can independently confirm reports #WWE is aiming for about 45,000 people per night at Raymond James Stadium for #WrestleMania, which would be by far the largest crowd at a sports or entertainment event in America since the pandemic began.

"I have reached out to the Tampa Bay Sports Authority, which manages Raymond James Stadium, but have yet to hear back. Tickets are on-sale 3/16, though it hasn’t publicly been said how many will be available."

Alba also adds that just because 45,000 fans per night is WWE's aim doesn't mean they'll reach that threshold, noting the lack of international attendees (not to mention domestic fans still unwilling to travel).

Alba also points out expected capacities for other sporting endeavors, writing, "The Texas Rangers (of Major League Baseball) have clearance to fill their stadium with about 40k to start the season (right around the same time as WrestleMania). Daytona International Speedway officials estimated to me Daytona 500 attendance was in the 25k-30k range. So this would be biggest (post-pandemic).
