Report: Vince McMahon Wanted To Shake Up WWE's PPV Schedule
The boss wanted to make some changes
May 13, 2021
Vince McMahon was in the mood for shaking things up ahead of WrestleMania 37.
Daniel Bryan was added to the Universal Championship match at The Showcase Of The Immortals to make it a Triple Threat with Roman Reigns and Edge. Vince McMahon reportedly decided to add The American Dragon to the match because he wanted to shake up the WrestleMania card and the company decided modifying the Universal Title match was the best way to do that.
WrestleMania 37 wasn't the only thing McMahon wanted to shake up at the time and the boss wanted to alter the company's whole pay-per-view schedule, according to Fightful Select.
If McMahon actually went ahead and made any changes is currently unknown, but the pay-per-view schedule until SummerSlam is similar to recent years. WrestleMania Backlash is scheduled to take place on May 16 and will reportedly be followed by Money In The Bank on June 20, Extreme Rules on July 18, and SummerSlam on August 22.
McMahon, of course, could have made tentative changes to WWE's post-SummerSlam pay-per-view schedule but if that is the case remains to be seen.
