An update on how All Elite Wrestling put their shows together has emerged.

Tony Khan has been the promotion's head booker since the organisation was founded in 2019, but the AEW President has previously noted that he took on more of a hands-on approach after December 2019, when AEW's final Dynamite of the year went off the air with a much-maligned Dark Order angle.

In an update, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Tony Khan remains the head booker and he works closely with QT Marshall in formatting the promotion's weekly programming. A meeting is then usually held with the likes of Pat Buck, Sonjay Dutt, Tony Schiavone, Marshall and others present as Tony Khan bounces ideas off them. The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega were previously in those meetings but have been absent since they were suspended by the promotion after All Out in early September.

Key talents, such as Chris Jericho and MJF, also continue to have input on their own creative.
