With the recent reveal of AEW Collision, All Elite Wrestling also subtly revealed that Andrade El Idolo was set to make his in-ring return, with Andrade featured on promotional materials for the new Saturday night show.

Andrade has been out of action due to a pectoral injury, but a report from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer suggests that Andrade should be ready to wrestle by the time Collision debuts on June 17:

“Andrade will be back in time because Andrade booked… Andrade is actually working a show in Mexico two days before, which I believe is going to be the first match back. So he should be back on that show and ready to go after his surgery to repair a torn pec," Meltzer stated.

El Idolo underwent surgery in late November to fix a torn pec, last wrestling for AEW in September 2022 as part of the Casino Ladder Match at All Out. El Idolo’s future in the company has been the topic of much discussion over the past 12 months, having served a suspension due to conduct whilst reports of dissatisfaction swirled around the former NXT Champion.
