Report: Update On AEW Fight Forever Release Date
AEW Fight Forever's release seemingly draws closer
Dec 13, 2022
Fans could soon get their hands on AEW Fight Forever.
All Elite Wrestling and THQ Nordic have yet to announce an official release date for the video game. According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, though, Fight Forever is slated for a Q2 2023 release.
"Spoke to an old colleague who is deep in the gaming world. They mentioned to me that AEW Fight Forever is slated for a Q2 release at this moment," Zarian tweeted.
This would put AEW Fight Forever's release date between April and June 2023. Other games set to release in that quarter are Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Redfall, and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
Fight Forever was recently awarded a Teen rating by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), the organisation that assigns age and content ratings for video games in the United States and Canada.
Within the rating filing, it was noted that Fight Forever will feature Molotov cocktails, blood splatter, and female wrestlers in revealing outfits like "deep cleavage, bunny outfits, and partially exposed buttocks." Real-life footage in the game also depicts talents drinking alcohol and smoking, while the word "s**t" is heard in Fight Forever.
According to past reports, an internal release date had Fight Forever hitting shelves in September 2022 but that was later pushed back to November 2022 and then February 2023. The delay was reportedly caused by Fight Forever's struggles to secure a Teen rating.
AEW Fight Forever will be released on Xbox and PlayStation consoles along with Nintendo Switch and PC.
