Report: The Undisputed ERA Signed New WWE Contracts Last Year
They aren't going anywhere for a while...
Jun 12, 2020
At NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Adam Cole retained the NXT Championship against The Velveteen Dream in a Backlot Brawl. Some considered the result somewhat surprising as earlier reports noted that Cole's contract was expiring in August.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider later reported this was not the case and the Leader of The Undisputed ERA's deal with WWE has "well over 18 months left to run."
Cole isn't the only member of The Undisputed ERA signed to a long contract as Dave Meltzer revealed in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly also signed new multi-year deals with the company late last year. Meltzer did not note when their new contracts expire, but the four stars will remain with WWE until at least 2022.
What the four friends do next on the black and gold brand remains to be seen, but Dexter Lumis and Karrion Kross are seemingly on the horizon. Lumis kidnapped Fish and Strong on Sunday but they managed to escape and Cole defeated the former Samuel Shaw in a non-title match on Wednesday. The NXT Champion's record-breaking title reign looks to be coming to an end, however, as Scarlett left an hourglass in the ring for Cole to end this week's episode of NXT, hinting that The Herald Of Doomsday is coming for him.
