Swerve Strickland wishes he could take back some of his recent comments.
Strickland was a part of the QueenzFlip vlog at Sneakcon in Coney Island, during which the former AEW World Champion was filmed stating that All Elite Wrestling was about to have a show on Fox, saying the promotion is "taking Fox" after WWE SmackDown left the network. Strickland then claimed that AEW CEO Tony Khan allows him to do whatever "the f*ck" he wants.
According to Sean Ross Sapp on the Fightful Select Weekly Pod, Strickland wishes he could take back his comments. Sean Ross Sapp said: "He wishes he could take it back. That was not intentionally leaked. I'm told he did not know a phone was in the vicinity."
A new United States TV deal between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery is expected to be announced very soon. AEW have been in talks with Fox over a show on the network, possibly AEW Shockwave, but talks remain ongoing according to reports.
Strickland is currently off AEW TV, although he is reportedly planned to make an appearance at WrestleDream.
