A report from Raj Giri at WrestlingInc. noted WWE talent were told the company will be taking over their Twitch channels in four weeks. WWE will officially own the Twitch accounts and talent will receive a percentage of the revenue they generate which will count against their downside guarantees.

This follows on from an edict issued by Vince McMahon earlier this month banning Superstars from working with third parties. The company later clarified that talent could keep their Twitch and YouTube channels under their real names, but they must inform WWE of their existence.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE Superstars are "livid" with the changes but nobody will speak up about it. Talent are primarily upset because of the changes to their downside guarantees.

Superstars without high downsides rely upon house shows and merchandise sales to make extra money. As both revenue streams have been dramatically cut because of the pandemic, talent used Twitch to supplement their income, but with the changes, many believe they will now just be paid their downside guarantee.
