WWE have announced The Undertaker (to be inducted by Vince McMahon) and Vader as the first two inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2022.

According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, former WWE Champion Sid may also be inducted this year.

Zarian tweeted: 'Hearing Sid will be inducted in this year's WWE Hall of Fame' alongside a picture of the Master and Ruler of the World.

Sid - who also wrestled as Sid Vicious, Sid Justice and Sycho/Psycho Sid - had various stints in both WWE and WCW during the 1990s.

During a varied and often controversial career, Sid achieved much success, winning the WWE and WCW Titles on two occasions each. He also main-evented two WrestleManias - against Hulk Hogan (VIII) and The Undertaker (13) - as well as many other pay-per-views.

The former Horseman was also involved in several notable outside-the-ring incidents, including a bloody fight with Arn Anderson while WCW were touring overseas in 1993, which saw both men stab each other with scissors and resulted in The Enforcer being sent to the hospital. Sid was fired for his part in the incident.

His full-time in-ring career came to an end at WCW's Sin pay-per-view in 2001, after he suffered a gruesome leg injury that threatened to keep him out of action indefinitely.

Sid made a surprise return to WWE on the June 25, 2012 episode of Raw, where he beat Heath Slater. The now-61-year-old wrestled his last match on an independent show in Canada in 2017.
