Report: NXT To Be Broadcast From WWE Performance Center For The Foreseeable Future
The coronavirus continues to wreak havoc...
Mar 16, 2020
The coronavirus outbreak has caused widespread disruption to the professional wrestling world. This week's episode of AEW: Dynamite will be broadcast live from an empty Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida, numerous independent wrestling events scheduled for WrestleMania 36 week have been cancelled, and tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw has been relocated from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Raw and SmackDown won't be the only events emanating from the Performance Center this week, as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported that NXT will also be broadcast from the WWE facility. Johnson also noted that it is likely to be in an empty arena, as the company is unlikely to shuttle fans from Full Sail University like they did for last week's episode.
The change came after Full Sail suspended all "group events" until the end of April. They tweeted: "After careful review of current news regarding the COVID-19 virus, we have decided to suspend classes and labs for campus students as of Mon, March 16, and move all students in campus programs to online versions of their courses as of Wed, March 18. All group events on campus will be suspended through the end of April, and you will receive an update about April’s graduation event in the coming days."
