Mustafa Ali hasn't appeared on WWE TV since the December 13 episode of Friday Night SmackDown when he teamed with Shorty G in a losing effort to The Revival. Ali has competed in dark matches on Friday nights since then but hasn't wrestled at all since February.

This could be set to change as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported the former Heart Of 205 Live has been quietly traded to Monday Night Raw. Ali is still currently listed as a SmackDown Superstar on WWE.com, but Johnson noted he will return to in-ring action on the red brand. Why WWE decided to move Ali is currently unknown but some believed he was going to be revealed as the SmackDown Hacker along with Shorty G. Some now fear the storyline has been dropped altogether.

Ali's run on the blue brand was somewhat of a mixed bag. After making his SmackDown debut in December 2018, he was initially pushed as a main eventer, picking up a win over WWE Champion Daniel Bryan on December 18, 2018. Mustafa then lasted 30 minutes in the 2019 Royal Rumble and was scheduled to be part of the Elimination Chamber match but had to pull out because of injury. He returned at the Fastlane pay-per-view in a Triple Threat for the WWE Title against Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens but the star hasn't been involved in a long term storyline since.
