The Motor City Machine Guns are the latest big act to occupy the coveted ‘hottest free agents’ in pro wrestling tag, but reports suggest that Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin could have found their next home.

Since exiting TNA Wrestling, The Guns surely have their fair share of suitors, with WWE and All Elite Wrestling believed to be the most likely to land the legendary tag team. A report from PWInsider states that some within TNA fully expect Shelley and Sabin to land in AEW after their final contracted dates with TNA.

In TNA the pair are multi-time TNA World Tag Team Champions, with both men also enjoying multiple reigns as X Division Champion, and one run apiece as TNA World Champion.

The Guns worked through the March 18 TNA IMPACT TV tapings, with their final opponents (for now) slated to be The System’s Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers. The Guns have worked one match in AEW in the past, with the duo teaming with former TNA star Jay Lethal to take on the team of FTR and Wardlow at AEW All Out 2022. Alex Shelley also worked a handful of matches for WWE NXT in 2020, reforming The Time Splitters with KUSHIDA.
