Report: MLW Releases 3 Talents
Talents have been let go
Oct 28, 2021
Major League Wrestling have made some cuts to their roster and three talents have been let go by the promotion, according to a new report.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider noted on Wednesday that Bu Ku Dao, Beastman and Leo Brien have all been released by MLW.
Bu Ku Dao signed with MLW in late 2020 and he wrestled in several matches for the promotion, primarily against Los Parks in tag team and singles action. He was under contract as a WWE developmental talent at one point but the offer was rescinded.
A veteran of the independent wrestling scene, Beastman had only just joined MLW and he debuted at the company's Fightland taping in October.
27-year-old Leo Brien signed with MLW in February of this year. He wrestled in the company as one-half of The Dirty Blondes alongside Michael Patrick.
MLW has yet to confirm the releases.
PWInsider reported MLW was making cuts to the roster as part of an edict from Court Bauer to shorten the promotion's events. The MLW founder was unhappy about the length of the Fightland taping and the plan going forward was to have a three-hour run time for future shows, even if it meant having fewer matches and booking fewer talents.
