WWE cutbacks continued on November 18 and eight more talents were let go by the company including all of Hit Row, John Morrison, Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Shane Thorne and Jaxson Ryker.

The latest round of releases seemingly came as a shock within WWE and Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast reported many in the company were "blindsided" by yesterday's cuts.

"Spoke to a source within WWE - 'Many within the company were blindsided by this set of releases,'" Zarian tweeted.

WWE released 18 Superstars in early November and, according to Zarian, the belief within the company was they would be the final cuts of 2021.

Releases are also expected to remain a regular occurrence in 2022.

"When I spoke to a very reliable source at WWE last week the belief was that the previous set of releases would be it for 2021 but with anticipation that this would be a regular occurrence moving forward," Zarian added.

WWE have made cuts to their talent roster throughout 2021 and the likes of Malakai Black, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Keith Lee and Karrion Kross have all been let go by the promotion this year along with numerous other talents.
