AAA's biggest event of the year Triplemania 28 took place over the weekend at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. The likes of The Lucha Brothers, Kenny Omega, Laredo Kid, Pagano, Chessman and Los Psycho Circus were all in action on the three and a half-hour show.
The crossover between Marvel and AAA also kicked off during the event as Aracno (Spider-Man) teamed with Leyenda Americana (Captain America) against Terror Purpura (Thanos) and Venenoide (Venom). In a shock result, the villains picked up the win after Terror Purpura delivered the Drill Claw to Aracno. A character based on Captain Marvel then appeared and announced this was only the beginning.
Unlike many superheroes and villains, the secret identities of AAA's Marvel characters were quickly revealed. Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported Brian Cage was under Terror Purpura's mask, which is why the character used the Drill Claw as a finisher. Lio Rush also appeared on two shows in one night as he portrayed Aracno at the same time as he was wrestling in the Super J-Cup.
Furthermore, former IMPACT Wrestling wrestler Daga was under Captain America's mask and AAA regular Black Taurus portrayed Venom.
