Report: Damian Priest Ruined His Ring Gear During His Hot Tub Celebration At WWE NXT TakeOver: 30

At NXT TakeOver: XXX, Damian Priest outlasted Johnny Gargano, Cameron Grimes, Bronson Reed & The Velveteen Dream to capture the NXT Championship in a Ladder Match.

The Archer Of Infamy was delighted with his victory and he showed it later on in the show when he dived in a hot tub despite still wearing his ring gear. On the After The Bell podcast, Priest mentioned he stayed in the hot tub until halfway through the main event between Keith Lee and Karrion Kross, meaning he would have been in there for close to 25 minutes.

Spending so long in the tub reportedly didn't go too well for the North American Champion's ring gear. Bryan Alvarez reported on The Bryan & Vinny Show that Priest ruined his attire after he jumped in the hot tub, which is why he used his white gear this week against Timothy Thatcher.

Alvarez said: "He had gear made to look like Shawn Michaels. And the impression that I was given was remember when he won the title and he ran and he jumped into the hot tub in the middle of the forest in his gear? Well, apparently he was in there for a while and it ruined his gear. That's the story I was told."
