Report: Chris Jericho Knocked Out By MVP During Altercation
MVP knocked out Chris Jericho
Jan 11, 2024
Chris Jericho was in need of some smelling salts back in January 2020.
A claim from Brian Last suddenly emerged on an episode of Cornette's Drive Thru which suggested that Chris Jericho was knocked out during one of his cruises after he "mouthed off" to somebody.
"Man, there is a story I would love to tell, but I didn't get permission, but him getting knocked out on his own cruise ship by someone he mouthed off to. It's the most incredible f*****g story, but I can't talk about that today," Last said.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net has since reported the incident in question occurred during Chris Jericho's Rock N' Wrestling Rager At Sea - Part Deux: Second Wave in January 2020. During the cruise there was reportedly an altercation between Chris Jericho and MVP and Montel Vontavious Porter ended up knocking out Jericho after "heated words were exchanged."
As previously reported, Jericho and MVP would have another run-in on May 18, 2022 at a hotel lobby in Houston, Texas. MVP was at the hotel visiting friends and he reportedly invited Jericho to step outside so they could "handle their problems." Jericho instead got into the hotel elevator and said he "doesn't fight jobbers."
The two men reportedly had a falling out over "social and political issues" and their differences only worsened following a private exchange.
Jericho told Fightful Select in 2022 after the altercation: "Nothing else to say. I don't fight jobbers. Nuff said."
The former AEW World Champion has found himself on the receiving end of boos during recent appearances on AEW TV. This comes after what Tony Khan has described as "unsourced internet rumours" were heavily discussed on X (FKA Twitter) ahead of AEW Worlds End.
