Rumours of Bray Wyatt’s return to WWE caused widespread excitement amongst wrestling fans, increased further by the intriguing ‘white rabbit’ media campaign. When Wyatt himself returned at Extreme Rules 2022 in Chicago, the roof practically blew off the arena.

As a result, WWE have internally positioned Wyatt as the number one babyface on SmackDown, per a report from PWInsider. The report alleges that WWE have been ‘thrilled’ with Wyatt’s return, with the former WWE Champion currently sitting as the top merchandise mover in the company, as has been the case for the last few weeks.

It’s also stated that WWE have been especially happy with the buzz form the ‘White Rabbit’ campaign, with similar content strategies earmarked for the future - for characters other than Wyatt. With Triple H as head of creative it’s believed these campaigns are possible and viable, with ideas similar to ‘white rabbit’ pitched under the old WWE regime but ultimately rejected.

For what it's worth, PWInsider’s report states that Drew McIntyre is currently listed as SmackDown’s number two face behind Wyatt.
