Report: Bianca Belair Written Off WWE TV

Bianca Belair is set to take a hiatus from WWE, according to a new report.

Per Fightful Select, The EST of WWE was written off television when she was attacked backstage by Damage CTRL on the August 18 episode of SmackDown.

The stable targeted the knee which was 'injured' at SummerSlam. The attack occurred after Belair had defeated Bayley and IYO Sky in a tag team match earlier in the show.

Fightful were told that the injury was storyline only and Belair was not hurt for real. The report noted that Belair had been planning to take some time off, which had been factored into creative. However, the outlet have heard different things on how long the former Women's Champion could be away for, ranging from three weeks to three months.

It added that Belair has received a lot of praise for how she handled herself while champion, due to her intense media schedule and many community events she would take part in.

Prior to her hiatus, it was reported that there were plans for Bianca to turn heel 'in the works'.
