CM Punk's comments during the AEW All Out media scrum were not well received.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez reported that "an altercation" took place following Punk's appearance at the media scrum between the AEW World Champion and The Young Bucks. Dave Meltzer described the incident as "a melee" and a new report from DAZN stated that CM Punk threw punches at one of the Young Bucks at the bare minimum. Fightful Select also mentioned Ace Steel may have been involved, although that was unconfirmed. A security guard could be seen hastily leaving the media scrum during Swerve In Our Glory's press conference.

Tony Khan reportedly was not informed about the incident until the media scrum had come to an end and everyone was still at the Now Arena in Chicago, Illinois as of 1:41 am CT.

The altercation came about after CM Punk took aim at AEW's Executive Vice Presidents during the All Out media scrum, accusing them of spreading lies to the media that he tried to get Colt Cabana fired from AEW.

He later added: "I'll tell you why I'm upset about it, because if you're an EVP, you don't try and middle your top babyface, try to get your niche audience on the internet to hate him for some made-up bullsh*t rumour. Really p*sses me off. Stepping on your own d*ck, trying to f*cking make money, sell tickets, fill arenas. These stupid guys think they're in Reseda."

Punk's comments came amidst a tirade about his current relationship with Colt Cabana and heat with Hangman Page. Punk and other members of the AEW roster have not been on good terms for some time with animosity stemming from that Colt Cabana was initially set to leave AEW before several talents went to bat for him, something which was perceived to be a result of Cabana and Punk's past issues. Cabana was signed to a new deal and he is now a part of Ring Of Honor.

Tony Khan recently noted that CM Punk had nothing to do with Colt Cabana being moved to ROH.
