AEW has a new top heel stable in town, and as revealed on this week’s edition of AEW: Dynamite, it goes by the name of The Pinnacle.

Lead by MJF, The Pinnacle also includes FTR, Shawn Spears, Wardlow, and Tully Blanchard, with the group making their debut on March 10 2021 when they decimated Chris Jericho’s Inner Circle at the climax of Dynamite.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, plans for this group have been in the works for close to a year.

Meltzer said: “MJF did a legit Hall of Fame promo on the same show to introduce his new group of Wardlow, FTR, Shawn Spears, himself and manager Tully Blanchard as The Pinnacle. The plans for this group date back to the arrival of FTR, as this was the idea for them after they did the first Young Bucks match that had to be done.”

Fans had speculated about a new heel group for quite some time, with many believing FTR, Shawn Spears, and Tully Blanchard would form a ‘new Four Horsemen’ with an AEW main event talent in the Ric Flair role.
