Edge has not been seen on WWE television since featuring in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 37.

'The Rated-R Superstar' competed in a superb Triple Threat Match for the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan, having won the 2021 Royal Rumble. But, having been a regular on SmackDown throughout WrestleMania season, Edge has not been spotted on any WWE show in the last six weeks.

During a recent edition of Fightful Select's Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Edge's current status and if the 47-year-old was dealing with any injuries he had sustained in his most recent run.

Sapp noted, however, that Edge is simply on time off from the company.

He said: "Planned time off, from what I understand."

It remains to be seen if Edge will return to WWE's blue brand when he does make his eventual return, having challenged for Reigns' Universal Title at WrestleMania 37. The Hall Of Famer had mainly been featured on Monday Night Raw since his surprise return from seemingly career-ending injury at last year's Royal Rumble.
