Former ECW, WCW and WWE superstar Raven recently spoke with Devon Nicholson of The Hannibal TV YouTube channel and shed some light on the current situation regarding the revamped NWA.
According to Raven, who is a friend of owner Billy Corgan and worked for Corgan's Resistance Pro Wrestling, the NWA may be shutting down.
He said "I think Billy’s shutting it down, from what I hear. From the grapevine, I heard that Billy’s not opening it back up, he’s really disillusioned.”
NWA have not taped any new episodes of their YouTube show 'Powerrr' since the start of the COVID-19 crisis.
Further to that, Vice President Dave Lagana resigned in June amid allegations of sexual misconduct as part of the Speaking Out movement.
The organisation have also begun to lose key members of their roster, with Zicky Dice being released and former NWA TV Champion Ricky Starks signing with All Elite Wrestling.
Corgan's ownership of the NWA took effect on October 1, 2017.
The last episode of Powerrr was uploaded to YouTube on May 13, 2020 (taped on January 26).
They have since uploaded alternative content like interviews and documentaries, but have not posted anything new for several weeks.
