The reigning AEW World Champion has rarely exchanged his suit for trunks and actually competed inside the squared circle since winning the gold at Full Gear 2022, having only had five AEW matches since November of last year. Friedman is set to wrestle in his sixth match since becoming world champion on tonight's edition of Dynamite, though, when he takes on Adam Cole in an AEW World Title Eliminator.

Friedman's matches weren't always quite so spread out and he has actually had 57 matches since making his All Elite Wrestling debut back at Double or Nothing 2019.
