Plans For Two Huge Storylines Reportedly Dropped From WWE Raw & SmackDown Live
Alexa Bliss and Shane McMahon go back to the drawing board...
Dec 20, 2018
It's an interesting time in WWE at the moment after the McMahon family started the process of "taking back" Raw and SmackDown Live this week. We learned that Vince, Shane, Stephanie and Triple H will be running the shows, six NXT stars were added to the main roster, and automatic rematch clauses for championships have been scrapped.
It also appears that plans regarding two huge storylines have been affected by the "shake-up". Dave Meltzer of the
Wrestling Observer Newsletterhas noted that plans for a Shane McMahon heel turn as a result of his Crown Jewel World Cup win, and Alexa Bliss running Raw have been cancelled.
For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what Dave wrote in this week's
Wrestling Observer Newsletter: "It appears Alexa Bliss as an authority figure (there was talk of her for the Baron Corbin spot once Corbin lost to Braun Strowman) has been completely dropped. Paige as an authority figure was also dropped. The Shane angle based on his winning the Crown Jewel tournament that was to lead to a heel turn looks like it’s been completely dropped (although it wasn’t supposed to happen until January anyway)."
If you'd like to know how the shake-up developed on next week's Raw, full spoilers for the recorded show can be found
