Back on the August 31, 2020, episode of Monday Night Raw, WWE suddenly split up The IIconics after Peyton Royce and Billie Kay lost a Losers Must Disband Match against The Riott Squad. Both Superstars have floated around WWE's mid-card since their separation and Royce has found herself in a new tag team with Lacey Evans while Kay is currently involved in a storyline with Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan.

Royce was asked about the split during a recent interview with Sportskeeda and admitted she doesn't know if she'll ever get over it.

Peyton said: "I mean, it was right there in that moment we found out what the stipulation was that day, maybe the day before, I don't know. I don't have a very good memory. But, it really was, Billie and I, we, more than just who we are as WWE Superstars; we have grown up together. So, for us to like, you know, our whole dreams, our whole journeys have been together. So for that to be just torn apart and like you said, so abruptly, I feel like I'm still digesting it, and I'm still trying to find my footing without her.

"She's absolutely thriving right now. She's an absolute genius and I'm so happy for what she's doing on SmackDown Live. I don't know if I'll ever get over it... It really like tore my heart apart and I'm still trying to put those pieces back together."

Kay later responded to Peyton's comments, writing: "I feel the exact same. My life partner [heart emoji]."
